Screen Plays & Literature
Etymology
I've written dozens of short and long Screen Plays (WAGw), with most of them ending up as "Ghost Scripts." But a few I kept for myself, like "One Day Post" (WAGw 2010), which was written in 3 days. :)
'One Day Post*'
Screenplay
'One Day Post' was written in 3 days
as a "visual mental exercise/experiment,"
after watching the indie movie Paranormal Activity.
I felt compelled to write a real diabolical thriller, that not only was cheaper to film and produce, but also boasted a superior story-line, while paying tribute to the psychological films of Alfred Hitchcock. :)
With that said, in the screen play, every action, situation, dialogues, verbatim quote, intentional enunciation, and internal monologue was derived from my memories, POVs, and direct quotes from the people I knew, loved, and grew up with. Because sometimes, "True Life" is actually more scarier, than fiction!
Lol... :o

Having said that, a majority of people who read the screenplay, subsequently told me that the screen play evoked a sense of unease or self-awareness within them, and a few people I knew found themselves unable to read it(!), even after a few pages. Lol :)
Additionally, I was challenged to make a screentest, especially with some of the most "challenging graphic cinematic scenes", to validate the camera shots, techniques, optical effects (that normally would have been done digitally), and to demonstrate the visual believably of the entire screenplay and plot, while not achieving an "R" rating... : )
" Noʻu ka hauʻoli "
World! :)
So when my dad visited us in 2012 for vacation,
I put him to work as a Camera Operator ( 2012 Screen test) :)
